Insight: My main takeaway from this ice storm is how easily my spending habits can fluctuate. Insight Background: Typically, I consider myself to be a very cautious spender as a working student, but during my days trapped inside, I found myself spending more money than when I could even leave the house. For instance, even before the snowstorm started and I was preparing it by grocery shopping, I found myself indulging in things I typically would not have for the sake of saving money. On top of that, my boredom activity seemed to be constantly browsing the internet for online shopping deals. Most noteable I decided now was a good time to learn the hobby of needlepointing and ended up spending nearly $100... for some thread and a canvas. Quite an expensive hobby that has taken off as a new trend and I have fallen victim to. Now, post ice storm and back to reality (and checking my bank account), I am seriously questioning my spending habits.
